Memorial Day Picnic

Today was a productive day...

The kids slept in today... until after 9am! Wahoo! Sleepy heads after yesterday's excitement!

We went to a later church, then to our favorite breakfast place... but we got there after 11am so we had to eat breakfast... luckily they made Morgan her cheese omelet. (Less whining that way!) I really wanted an omelet too... but I settled for a grilled cheese.

Soon after we got home we put the kids down for an earlier nap and Bob and I plated 6 more of our trees! Yea! They have only been sitting in their pots for almost two months! We hope they survive!!

After the kiddos woke up we headed to Bobby and Nikki's house for an informal Memorial Day party. The kiddos had a blast, especially in the sand table and the bucket of water Auntie Nikki gave them... why do we buy toys again? ;)

Goodbye Chickadee!

Today was Morgan's last day of preschool as a Chickadee! She made some friends in class... maybe they will be in her class next year?!

MeMom and Grandmom got to go and take pictures and see the final hooray! I was disappointed I couldn't be there, but it was only a 20 minute finale so I decided it wasn't worth taking a full day off from work! Morgan got a certificate, her book of work on letters, and a little scrapbook of they year! She really enjoyed school! She never cried and warmed up very quickly.

Although I felt like the academics were a little weak... she was excited to go to school each week and (FINALLY) began telling us what she did during the day! About a month ago she started singing all these songs that she had been taught and it made me proud of her. I figured she just didn't remember anything... but she sang those songs so well... she was probably making sure she knew them well first!

My little peanut is really growing up too fast! Wow! One more year of preschool and then off to kindergarten (YIKES!)

Planting creations

A weekend or so ago the kids planted some seeds! They planted pumpkin seeds and watermelon seeds. Let's see if they grow!! I hope so... it will be neat to explain the growing process and to see it happening!
Now it's time to wait and see...
The HARD part!

Another EVENTFUL day...

Morgan and RJ's events were much more fun and exciting then my events today (or Daddy's events today).

Aunt Melanie spoiled the kiddos rotten yet again. My kids are blessed to have wonderful blood related Aunts and close friend related Aunts!

Aunt Melanie took Morgan and RJ to McDonald's for a lunch treat....and then off to Chuck E Cheese. They appeared through pictures to have a blast!!

My day... up at 6am to hit church at 6:30am. Organized around the house a bit, saw kiddos for an hour or so, then headed down to the Phillies game with Bobby. Five minutes before we hit the stadium Bobby realized he forgot his ticket... ugh. Thank goodness we got there early enough to get him a standing room only ticket... I got parked free of charge thanks to my wonderful husband! Bobby and I hit McFadden's for a drink or two and some cheese fries. Then we headed into the ball park right before the game began. The Phillies could not hit a pitch if their lives depended on it today!! Needless to say they lost 2-zip. Ugh. After the game we headed back to the car... car was still there but the car DID.NOT.START. Yup... because there was a lot of traffic I scooted out the passenger side door and forgot to turn the lights off. Gosh... guess I had a blonde moment. No one around us had jumper cables so thank goodness Bobby is an AAA holder and an AAA fellow came by in less than 10 minutes to jump the car. The jump worked immediately and off we went... Ha... off we went at SNAIL'S pace. It took us nearly 2 hours to get home to Bobby's house before heading another twenty or so minutes home to my house. Note to self... NEVER take the Schuylkill again! NEVER will I take 76 home again!! What a long... kind of bummer of a day... day...

Tomorrow is Monday... happy beginning of another week. Yay! *Insert sarcastic tone*
