Long Saturday...

Today felt like the day that was never going to end!  We got up and I decided I didn't feel like going out to yard sales although I had planned on it throughout the week.  I just didn't feel like rushing out and haggling with people today.  I opened all the windows today because there was a cool breeze today.

In the garden three more of my tomato plants had crashed to the ground.  This has never happened before.  I have the wire cylinder thingies around them but I guess they are just so heavy.  Now five have taken a nose plant.  I hope they don't die because they have fallen.  Four green tomatoes were laying on the ground.  I hope they can somehow ripen.  (Mom said to wrap them in newspaper... so here's hoping!)  With my luck, all my tomatoes will be ready when I am on vacation and Melanie will enjoy a bounty of tomatoes!

Morgan played with the local neighborhood girls today.  My heart broke for her today but I tried to put a stop to that!  Morgan was swinging on our swing set with our neighbor M.  Then another girl R with a new neighbor came over said something I didn't hear and M jumped down and started running off with R and new neighbor.  Morgan shouted after them, "I thought you were playing with me?"  M shouted back, "Maybe later."  Ouch!  So not fair... as I watched Morgan's face get sad and she just kept swinging by herself.  I told Morgan to follow them and ask if she could play too.  She followed them and played at new neighbor's house for a while.  Then I saw R, M. and new neighbor run by our house and Morgan tagging behind saying wait for me.  Morgan stopped at our driveway and said, "R is being so mean.  She said only they could come with her to her house."  With that I said you know what, that wasn't a very nice thing to do, and I think you can go over there.  Just go play... and with slight questioning she followed my direction and ran towards R's house.  She didn't come home for almost two hours so I am thinking it worked out.  I need to email R's mom and let her know what happened... just to make sure I didn't overstep by bounds... but I hate that R is so bossy and often dictates who she will play with.

Morgan is so sweet and innocent... and I hate, HATE to see her being walked all over at such a young age.  And she doesn't realize what is happening which breaks my heart even more.  Today she knew R wasn't being nice though!!

I cleaned up around the house some, but it doesn't look like I did anything.  I HATE that!

Tonight we joined MeMom, Pop Pop, and Felicity at Chick-fil-A for supper.  Morgan and RJ enjoy seeing their cousin.  Came home, played a little bit and went to bed.

Bo/Daddy wasn't feeling great today so with my germ issues I banished him to the the master bedroom.  I will sleep in the Guest Room.  Wish I wasn't such a germ-a-phobic... but I can't handle germs.... they make me sick myself just thinking about them!

Wordless Wednesday - 29

Although this is my Wordless Wednesday post... I have to make an exception today and do a little bit of writing!

Felt bad... this morning I had to wake up all three kiddos early to get to my meeting.  I hate waking up early too (Bob woke me up before he left for work at 6:15am)!  This morning I met with RJ's Speech Pathologist and discussed my concerns about the reduction of therapy services... I will write more later, but in a nutshell we are going to attempt one time a week at our home.  We will see how it goes!  I was overall happy with the outcome, but we'll see...  I hope RJ can stay focused!!

After RJ had his speech we all played on the playground a little bit longer.  The kiddos had fun for a while sliding down together, climbing up, switching slides, and sliding again!

After therapy and the playground we headed to Aunt Anne's pool.  It was SO hot I forgot to get out of the pool and take any pictures!!  It felt so good to be in the pool and I didn't want to get out into the heat, so unfrotuantley no pool pictures.  Morgan and Sophia had fun jumping off the diving board with Angela and Hannah.  We had too close incidents... the first time Sophia jumped she was literally 6 inches from hitting her head on the side because she didn't jump straight out she jumped towards the side.  The second almost catastrophe was when Sophia didn't realize she had to wait until the last person to jump swam over to the side before jumping.  She jumped right on Hannah... thank goodness everyone was ok and after we explained why we need to jump straight out and wait until each person in front of you has swam to the side of the pool the rest of the jumping (all million jumps) were safe!

We came home and the kiddos had nap/rest time.  That gave me the chance to do my Insanity workout and clean up the house a little bit.  When the kiddos woke up we made rice crispie treats.  I think all the kiddos had fun!  I gave them each their own bowls so they got to do the whole recipe and do each step!  Fun and sticky mess, I mean treat!

After supper we had some time at the table working on puzzles.  I think we all needed some down time to relax.  After puzzles Bob played go fish with the kiddos and soon it was bedtime!

Eagle Rock visit

I don't have time to write anything now... but hopefully I will get to writing tomorrow morning or during the kiddos rest time after my Insanity workout!!

Today we went up to our property in the mountains.  We got to play on the playgrounds, ride a pony, use the paddle boats, play in the lake, ate a picnic lunch, and then swam in one of the pools for a couple (literally) hours!!!  We also got an up close and personal meeting with a deer as we were leaving!!  Crazy!!  Headed to supper, then after we got home Bob took us all on a tractor ride on the trail behind our house!  I'm exhausted, are you?

Running to see the ponies!
 Pony rides!

 Paddle boats on the lake!

Kiddos swimming in the lake!

Time to switch gears...
and take a LONG dip in the pool!

Why, hello dear... I mean deer!
Her fawn was on the other side of our car...
she wasn't about to move!
So close we could have touched her!
 Climbing on rocks... fun!
Time to leave... on to supper!
Cool rocking chairs out front
AND
a big checkers board!

After we got home Daddy pulled all the kiddos (and I was conned too) into a 'wagon ride' on our back trail!

More to come....
