Halloween

Halloween was a blast!

MeMom/PopPop and Grandmom/Granddad came over to see the kids off to their trick-or-treating.
The kiddos were so excited to go out this year!

RJ LOVED dressing as Thomas!

Morgan LOVED being Rapunzel!

Daddy decided to take them in the wagon in case they got tired along the walk!

After they had finished their trick-or-treating, they watched at the door hoping and anticipating someone would come so they could give out candy! A few older kid straglers came through after the kiddos got home so that made Morgan's night! (Besides the candy that is!!)

Designing or Killing?

Very intrigued about carving a jack-o-lantern!
After a few scoops and touching the slimy gross orange stuff... both kiddos decided they would let Momma and Daddy dig out the guts...

Daddy and Morgan working very hard on her princess pumpkin...

P.S. Electricity came back on tonight around supper time... FINALLY!! Almost two full days without electricity is a killer!! Especially because RJ doesn't understand why the TV or computer can't work!! Sorry little man!

We also had a blast in the snow!! We played outside, made a snowman, ate snow, ate lunch, and played some more! The dogs had a blast in the white stuff too!

Adults Only - Lights Out!

Today we had a snow storm begin. Not just a little flurry or two.... MASSIVE amounts of snow fell!! It started around 8am and continued snowing and snowing and snowing...

It is snowing... and OF COURSE we are outside in the falling white stuff!!
Around noon our lights went out and we had no power when Bob and I left to go to the neighborhood Adults Only Halloween Party!

Brittney and Justin... here we go...out into the continuing snow fall! Although we could have walked... we choose to drive since around 8pm our neighborhood streets still were not plowed! The host's house looked amazing! Even in the dark!! I swear she had over 1000 candles lit in her house!! Not to mention a couple dozen carved pumpkins with candles! The food was delicious and the company was fun!
The AWESOME host!

As we got home (around 2am... past the time I am writing this post... since I am writing it post weekend anyway...) our streets were finally plowed and the snow had ceased! BUT power was still out when we crawled into bed during the wee hours of the morning.

A night out

Bob wanted to take the kiddos on a night NOT scary hayride near his childhood home. He has ties to the farm because he worked there (at the scary hayride) when he was a kid. Aunt Melanie joined us because she was going to watch the kiddos for us Saturday night when we attended our Adults Only Halloween party and was spending the entire weekend. The kiddos enjoyed the ride. It was just a ride around the farm, no props set up or anything but we got to sit in a pile of hay and have a relaxing ride around... the ride was about 30 minutes.
(Insert comment here)
I LOVE this picture of Aunt Melanie and RJ!

After the hayride we drove around trying to find a restaurant that didn't look TOO crowded. We ended up going to a Chinese Buffet. Buffets are always good! The kiddos did pretty well.

RJ LOVES these!! He probably ate Aunt Melanie's WHOLE plate!! You do the work for me and I'll eat your findings!!! We enjoyed an evening out doing something different than the norm!

Dad's Night at Preschool

A few days late...

PopPop kindly accepted my request to go to preschool Dad's night so that Bob could be with one and he could be with the other kiddo. Unfortunately Daddy didn't get any pictures of Morgan and PopPop except this far away shot. Better than nothing. The night entailed a hayride, making s'mores by the fire, story time, arts and crafts, and fun in the gym! Everyone had a great time! Thanks again PopPop!!

Halloween Parade!

Today was the Halloween parade in town. MeMom and PopPop enjoy coming to the parade with the kiddos and I. Bob almost always has to work... so it is nice to have company. While we waited for the parade to begin RJ and Morgan enjoyed quality time having stories read to them.
