Playing together

Last week Morgan played with her friend Claire at the playground! They liked running together back and forth and are starting to learn how to share...although they much rather keep the ball, stick, rock, etc for themselves!

Fun in the sun!

We are back from a nice few days away from reality! Morgan had a blast! When she realized she had sand on her hands or feet she tried to wipe it off but when it was instantly back she didn't care! I think it was more the idea that she was aware of something foreign on her body! As for the water (being in the mid 50's) she or her Momma didn't want to go in more than to the ankles! On Thursday she didn't want a nap on the beach and went straight through all day with just a little bit of fussing... Friday she finally collapsed for a (45 minute) nap on the beach. Overall baring a couple of near catastrophes (...umbrella being accidentally broken, suntan lotion in an eye, no lunch for the Momma, etc.) the short trip was a success for all! Now back to the real world...but hey...it is summer and I have off!

June shots

Some random shots from June!

Headed to the shore

Just writing real quick b/c we will be away at the shore from today until Friday evening. It is predicted to be in the 90's so let's hope the water is not too cold so we can all take a dip! I will have lots of pictures to share! A couple pictures from her last beach visit!

First Pool

Fun swimming at home!

Morgan's FIRST Zoo experience!

We made it to the zoo!! Hot and humid with chance of thunderstorms...we made it with no rain...but it was very hot!
.
We ended up purchasing a membership. When I realized that an adult pass was $18.00 and to park was $12.00 if we went more than once in a year it was worth getting the $54.00 membership that included one adult, one guest adult and free parking! Kids under 2 are free! We had a blast!
.
Got to see all the animals except the giraffes, currently there are none left at the Philly Zoo. The stroller was used most of the day for the sundry items...diaper bag, lunch cooler, camera, purse, etc...and Morgan either walked or was carried upon her request!
.
Many of the animals were sleeping, that made Daddy disappointed, but we saw some up close and personals too!
.
Like father...like daughter...Morgan fell asleep as we were leaving the zoo...Daddy fell asleep when his body hit the couch!
Lots of fun...can't wait to go back!!

PARTY...Father's Day...POOP

First, let me apologize for taking so long to post! After a jam packed weekend and the end of school things have been busier than usual!

Where to begin...SURPRISE! Bob threw me a 30th surprise birthday party last Saturday! What a wonderful gesture, knowing my birthday isn't until the end of August...if friends hadn't spoiled the surprise I really would have been clueless! It was so nice to have people who care for me at the party! To have such wonderful people surrounding me and supporting me really reminds me of what life is all about! My husband can be so wonderful!! I know he must have worked hard to put it all together!!

Father's Day was busy! We went to church and then to my girlfriend's 30th surprise party...too funny the day before she had commented, "my husband would never do anything like this"...eat your words Kelly! Kelly was truly surprised! From Kelly's party we headed to my parents for a nice meat/potato/veggie meal! It was delicious...Mom is a fabulous cook...wish I could say the same for myself...

Got home around 9:30 to discover Nickel our boy Springer was sick...he had had diarrhea all over his cage and then some...needless to say without going into the gruesome details...it looked like a crime scene...Bob left around 10pm to take him to our vet and I got on my hands and knees and started scrubbing...what fun...NOT. Finally finished and fell into bed around midnight just in time to wake up around 5am at the sound of my alarm...

Tired after a 'busy' day at the zoo!

BREAK in the heat wave!

Finally, a bit of relief! Although my car thermometer still read 90 degrees, the humidity is finally down! Last night's storm blew through and changed the air...for now! Speaking of the storm...Morgan wanted to stay outside throughout, although when Bob saw the bolts of lightening he whisked her inside! No fun Daddy!!
.
As I am writing this Morgan is running back and forth with the Springers in toe! A funny sight to listen to...her screaming with delight and prancing paws on the carpet.
.
The last two days she has not been happy to see me. She has only wanted her Daddy, but this afternoon when I picked her up from the sitter she threw her arms around me and smothered me with kisses...well, almost...she gave me a hug and kiss on command and then wanted me to help her empty out her already empty lunch bag!
.
We ran to the doctor for my check-up, everything is measuring up "just fine" as the doctor put it...good to hear! 148 was the heart beat. Still been feeling really good! I really do love being pregnant!
.
Just a couple pictures of the outside when we got home on her *new* (yard sale item) picnic table!

hot, Hot, HOT!

On Sunday with the crazy heat we tried to put Morgan in her baby pool from last year. She sat when forced but didn't really want anything to do with it! She decided to pose...hoping if she listened to her Momma that her Momma would take her out! It worked... even though her Momma wanted to jump in! Can't wait to take her to the pool this summer! Should be a lot of fun!!

Rain, rain, lots of RAIN!

On Wednesday night was when the bad rain came and Morgan insisted on going outside...standing under the deck getting rained on she played and laughed...in the house, out of the house, in the house, out of the house...then she slipped and went 'boom'! Enough playing for now, even though she wanted more!

The CASE of the Missing Car Seat

IMAGINE THIS IS TUESDAY (meant to do this then)
.
6:45am Where is our car seat? Not in the car, not in the family room, not in the living room, not in the garage. Where oh where is the car seat? THEN it clicked...Me Mom and Pop Pop brought her home last night... oh no...they must have forgotten to bring the car seat in. Brain is waking up...that means Me Mom needs to get a phone call and speed over to our house with that car seat! Ring-ring...wake up Me Mom!!!
.
7:31am Me Mom came with the missing car seat... case closed...Morgan got popped in and Me Mom took Morgan to the sitter so that Momma wasn't late for work!
. .
Also, some exciting news to share! My friend Heather had her baby girl! Sarah Elaine was 9 pounds 2 ounces...and just beautiful! Congrats Heather and family!! Many hugs to you!!
