THREE already.

I can't believe my baby turns three today... I just cannot believe that it was three years ago I was holding my baby boy in my arms!! After a wonderful pregnancy and a perfect ideal delivery (minus the nurse telling the doctor she didn't think I was staying... 9 centimeters later... ha... I was staying) I had a baby boy... Robert James the Fifth! Oh My!! I think I was in shock! I just figured we would have another girl, but wrong!

RJ has always had more of MY personality (Sorry Bubba!)

Dear RJ,
You are so so SO stubborn! You have always wanted your way or you let us know about it! You and time out have become friends... but you now understand (a little bit more) why you go to time out.

You have stopped shaking your crib and screaming... most of the time now you only rattle the crib a little bit and call, "Momma....whereareyou?" over and over until someone comes to get you! I'll take it!!

You love your big sister!! You love to play dress up and play princesses with her.

BUT

You also LOVE choo-choo trains!! You give all trains the name Thomas, but you don't care what they look like... as long as they are a train! You play with your trains and trax all the time! You also love to watch train videos on tv and on the computer!! Trains and you are two peas in a pod right now!

You are beginning to speak in clearer sentences so that people other than Momma, Daddy, and Morgan can understand you more. I know it must be SO frustrating not to be understood!!

You started preschool this year!! You love going to school!! You often ask if you can go to school when it is NOT a school day! Your teacher has told me you are adjusting great! I'm so proud of you because I was a little nervous you might not listen to the teacher... so far so good!

You love to say... "I talking to you" when someone doesn't listen to what you are saying!

Nighttime routine gives you and I a few minutes together to cuddle before you go to sleep... we sing: I've been working on the railroad, the ABC song, and twinkle twinkle in the rocking chair together and Rock A Bye Baby as I put you in your crib. I hope you never want to stop loving on me... although I KNOW it will happen... but this Momma can dream! Did I mention... about 2.5 months ago you potty trained! You did it so easily... another proud and happy moment for me watching you grow!

I love you so much!! You amaze me with what you do everyday... and there are some moments where my patience run thin, but I think that is all about being a Momma!

I pray that your third year is filled with learning new things, exploring your environment, being able to verbalize all your wants and needs, and just loving life! I love you Bubba!

Dream and Live Big,
Your Loving Momma

Bye Mrs. Lee!

Random tadbit from my day...

I am working with some boys diagnosed with Autism this year. I am actually enjoying it! I really enjoy working with the lowest two that are minimally verbal. After working with a student today (modeling and hand over hand to put blocks on top, in front, and behind a basket) we walked back to his classroom. Getting his attention (putting my head in front of his) I said, "Goodbye (boy's name)." He answered, "Goodbye Mrs. Lee." I started chatting with the teacher and then when I was ready to leave said goodbye to the student again. This time he said, "So long." I responded with, "See you later alligator" at which point he turned my body towards the door and gently started pushing me to the door saying, "See you later Mrs. Lee." HEY! I'll take it, great language!! I KNOW there is more in there than his little body will let out!!

Fun, Chocolate, & Jelly Beans at Ashers!

Asher's Chocolate Factory had their Fall Festival yesterday. We stopped by and did a little bit of everything they had there. First things first... we met Mr. Jelly Belly himself!
Next, we ate a free hot dog with a Rosenberger's lemonade.
You can see how excited RJ was to sit down and eat!

We took a turn bouncing in the moon bounce!

...and...
After over an hour waiting in line...
Morgan and RJ got their faces painted!
Fun times had by us all...

Patience is something I struggled with today (especially waiting in the face painting line, and ESPECIALLY when the little girl - 3 year old - spilled a container of lemonade down my leg while I waited in the line, with just a faint sorry from the grandmother and nothing from the father). I KNOW patience is one of my weaknesses, so God gave me plenty of time to work on it yesterday!

Great finds!

Today I headed out to a local consignment sale. There was one that is VERY well known and that last time I went to and got there 30 minutes early had to wait in a line... I decided if time permitted I would check that one second. I first hit a sale about 10 minutes from my home. There is no 'store' per say but the woman who owns the consignment has three sales each fall and three sales each spring. This was the first time I went and I loved it!! I came away with some great things for RJ! I am hoping to receive clothes from our friends for Morgan so I didn't really buy too much for her... RJ got a three piece suit! Some button down shirts, and some new shirts and pants! I spent less than $100.00 for 30 items. I thought I got some good deals! I really liked how it was set up. One section boys, one section girls. AND the genders were then sorted by size all hanging on clothing racks. Everything was tagged with a price so it made it easy to find what I needed at what price I was willing to spend.
Some of the loot!
After that sale where I made out great we headed to the 'popular' one and I was disappointed in what was there... maybe because I got there towards the end, but I just wasn't very impressed with it! At this sale it is set up my person, so each table belongs to a different mom and things are all priced differently. It just felt disorganized and not very welcoming!

First Field Trip!

Morgan visited a local Orchard for her field trip. MeMom took her, thank you MeMom! Morgan had a good time and she learned that apple trees take 5 years to produce fruit! MeMom and Morgan also found out how to keep deer away from anything... put a dryer sheet in the area. The deer smell the scent which smells like a human and they go the other direction! Good info to know!!
Morgan picking her apples! YUM!

Last Sunday Ballgame...

No Bob or Beth pictures... instead Phanatic pictures dancing (with monkeys) to George of the Jungle!

Restaurant Festival, West Chester

Today was another busy day! I got up early and so did RJ... so he and I went to early mass while Daddy and Morgan slept in.

We went to the Restaurant Festival today! It is something we have done together for several year. Pretty neat concept that West Chester does. They block the main road through town and all the restaurants from the area put up stands and you basically walk up and down the street buying different types of food to eat. When we got there it was crowded but not so tight you couldn't move... by the time we left it was very tight and slow moving. As you can see.... Morgan and RJ mostly sampled the sweets... Not pictured the cupcakes that they had next after the dip-n-dots, the water ice, and the fruit smoothie. Daddy tried out the friend mac-n-cheese. Although to me it sounds delicious, it didn't taste as good as I thought it would!

Great time... then headed back to MeMom and PopPop's house to drop off the kiddos so we could head to our Phillies game!

Oops... both kiddos feel asleep in the car and slept almost 2 hours in the car! Guess they got tired out!

JEEP show!

After the birthday party and the kiddos' nap time we met Daddy at the Jeep Show. We had a nice time and watched fireworks to finish the night!

First we tried out the moon bounces!

Giampa Girl's Party

We had a busy day today! The Giampa girls had their party this morning! It was a lot of fun. The party had to be moved to their house because the Swine Flu was discovered in the park that the party was going to be held at. Thank goodness it was nice weather so many of the activities and the food eating could be done outside! As you can see they got their faces painted, ate lunch, went on a treasure hunt, made a craft, and played limbo! The kiddos had a great time!
