Tree Finding!

Change of plans for our tree getting! We usually go the Monday after Thanksgiving... but it's supposed to rain like crazy on Monday - so here we are Sunday heading to our favorite tree farm in hopes of finding our perfect tree!  Because we come usually on Mondays, the tree farm is almost always dead with maybe one other family there picking out their tree.  This year it was packed!  Awesome news for the tree farmer... but it made us nervous that we wouldn't find our perfect tree.  We had to park at the bottom of the tree farm instead of at the top/middle of the farm like normal.

Time to find the perfect Lee Family Tree for the season!  Let's hope for the best!

And JUST.LIKE.THAT we found our perfect tree!  In record time!  Amazing and thankful!  We were almost nervous we didn't look enough...so we looked some more but came back to the first tree we spotted within 8 minutes of being on the farm!

On our way to get the Lee tree wrapped for our ride home!
Love it... Morgan and Bob pulling with RJ leading the way!
Momma taking up the caboose - doing nothing!  Wahoo!

Even the dinosaur is wearing his mask!

Here's to beginning another blessed and full of magic Christmas season!

Thanksgiving Night - Drelicks display!

Heading home from Thanksgiving we decided to stop by the Drelick's Christmas lights display.  Once again, year after year, it never disappoints!  Looked beautiful once again!

Thanksgiving - different

As everything else this year, Thanksgiving was a bit different than normal. Bob had to work the Thanksgiving game (in the rain, boo hiss) and the kiddos and I were planning on going and watching until the weather squashed that!

Aunt Virginia decided cancelling Thanksgiving was the safest thing to do. We were sad, but understood.  MeMom and Pop Pop went to Megan's house and with COVID Nikki's parents did not want to visit for Thanksgiving so Nikki and Bobby invited us to come over for Thanksgiving after Bob got home from the game.

We had a very nice time spending time just with the Rounay family.  We had nice conversations and the kiddos played so nicely together.  Now that Luke is a little bit older and getting into video games he and RJ have more in common which allows Morgan and Felicity to do whatever they want to do without RJ 'tagging along.'  It is wonderful that they continue to keep friendships!

We did a quick facetime with Claire, Craig, and the rest of the gang in Maryland. That was crazy, but nice!  Overall it was a low-key get together with plenty to eat and time to relax!

Sweet kiddos!  Happy Thanksgiving from afar!

Quick break from video games!

Quick break from eating dessert!

Right before we got ready for bed I made the family take a quick family photo!  I know, I'm so mean but it is what it is!  I want as many memories as I can get!

Morgan's well visit - time for stats!

So when I scheduled Morgan's well visit Quakertown had off of school.  When we got closer to her appointment the district changed the calendar up because they started later than originally planned and took away today.  Thank goodness it was a virtual day from home for her so yup - she's watching her lecture from the doctor's office!

Overall she had a great bill of health:
Blood pressure: 110/72
Height: 5' 2.25" - 36th percentile
Weight: 106 - 46th percentile
BMI: 19.34 - 50th percentile

Oh DEER -Do you see what I see?

Oh Deer, do you see what I see?  Look closely...

See it now?  A deer approaching my garden...

Can you spot the deer now?

Now you see him?  That stinker came up and ate our pumpkin display!

Soccer - last of season

End of the season... was a bit crazy with not only COVID but weather interfering!  RJ had fun overall playing and wants to play again - so that's a win in my book!

Morgan's 14th bday!

Wow!  How is my sweet little peanut 14 today?!  Time truly does fly by!  Entering 7th grade, taking honors classes, being part of the Marching Band a year early, continuing ballet, hoping to do basketball and maybe track.  Wow!  High expectations of yourself!  I am amazed by your motivation and drive every day!

You continue to still be kind to the little ones around you and most of the time are gentle and put up with your brother's nonsense.  You are willing (most of the time) to help me when I need it and you continue to love your extended family to pieces.

You are turning into that teenager that I have heard of... staying in your room on your phone even when you aren't doing homework - but most of the time if I ask you to come down to be with the family you will (with some grouchiness) come down and sit on your phone on the couch.  Baby steps!  hehehe

You continue to enjoy baking and have made delicious, mouth-watering desserts for us over and over again!  You have also tried your hand at cooking a little bit too!

Continue to keep you kind and gentle spirit and remember to always be kind to others!  Try hard NOT to talk behind other's backs and remember don't ever write anything on social media that is unkind - it will come back and bite you in the bottom!

Love you lots and lots!

Yearly tradition!

Duke - 1, Air pods - 0

Ugh... Morgan left her air pods on the couch.  Guess what happened?  A puppy thought they looked like a good chew toy.  Morgan was devastated and now Mom and Dad are out $100 to buy her new ones.  Yiyiyi.

Lazy = walk at lunch

Since I didn't run this morning...
I walked for 45 minutes at my lunch/prep - a gorgeous day!

I also listened to a podcast while I worked... trying to learn more about ADHD!

Leaving

RJ was very upset with us today.  Because his life was miserable - meaning he could not have his electronics and he was asked to do a few chores around the house as well as some late school work!

I have told him in the past, feel free to leave if you think you can find a better home! Pack a bag and send me a postcard from where you find a better life!  Today he took me up on that offer!

Not quiet sure he totally understood that to follow through you leave the note and take your bag and go... you don't leave your bag with the note!

Obviously... he did not go anywhere and stayed living here.  Still a party of 4 living at the Lee house.
