A twist to our day...

Our day in a nutshell that had been planned (by Bob)... and I LOVE when we have a planned day...
Soccer --> Peddler's Village for scarecrows --> Apple picking at an orchard --> try a new restaurant in Warrington --> hayride in Warrington --> come home pooped!

MAJOR Change of plans!!  First stop... soccer (check)

Peddlers Village... nope... I called to make sure the scarecrows were still up because of the impending storm.  The lady told me that some people were/had been taking them down because of the storm coming... Bob was already STRESSING out about the storm so he was happy not to go out for the whole day.

(*SIDE NOTE - This 'storm' is driving me crazy! There is no reason to drive 3+ hours one way to get a generator... which is what Bob wants to do...especially when I finally get my whole family for the weekend...I want to SPEND it with them.  His suggestion... let's all drive as a family to get it... um? NO thanks!)

So after soccer we went home and cleaned up the outside... then got in the car to do something... I asked that we at least find a place to take our fall photos before the impending rain and wind knock off the last of the leaves... Bob was game for that and started driving.  We thought that maybe we would head to a local orchard to pick some apples instead of driving a far distance... then we stumbled upon a fall fest being held by camp Men-O-Lan (which is five minutes from our house).  We figured we would check it out!  The below pictures are from our visit at their fall fest.  It ended up being a fun (FREE) time for the kiddos!  They got to see an animal show (by a CRAZY animal lady -- I guess the best kind), gather candy around the cabins, play games, play on the playground, and best of all we got to spend some fun time together as a family!

As Bob said we got an even BETTER time... not sure if I believe him... I am still sad I missed the scarecrows this year... but we did have a nice day together as a family.

Old fashion tether ball!

An enjoyable day together as a family!!
