Morgan MADE Championships!!

Wow!
Wahoo baby girl!
 Way to go Peanut!
 So proud of you Morgan!!

Not in my wildest dreams did I think either of my kiddos would make Championships this year!  But Morgan worked hard, pushed herself, improved her times, and DID IT!!  She made Championships for her breast stroke!  Awesome!  Super job!!

She swam breast stroke in the relay (with 3 other girls, 1 of each stroke, freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breast) and swam the breast stroke in her own race.  People sure do get excited at Championships!

Chilling before her race!

Her race!  Leave it all in the pool Peanut!

Morgan and her friend Caroline

You did AWESOME!! (Morgan felt she could have done better but for her first time in the 'big' time I think she did spectacular!!

I thought Morgan did awesome for her first trip to finals!!  And it was HOT!!!!!  Just sitting in the shade not moving I could feel the sweat dripping off of me!

Her friend Caroline and her... feeling dead!

Final Swim before Champs!

Today was the last 2-hour swim before Champs!  Our first time going through this!  After the kiddos finished their swim the swim board had a nice spread of yummies for the kids to eat!

Signs were also made to cheer the kiddos on on Saturday!

"Mom - really?  We have food in our braces"

 Good luck Morgan and Caroline!

...and then there were TWO!

Wait, what?  Yes... we are up to two! So long story short... when we got back from Canada and picked up Willow she seemed sooo tired.  I assumed it was from playing with all the animals where she was dog-sat.  Bob assumed differently... he felt she was depressed being the only animal with no one to play with.

Bob started looking at puppies/dogs all over the internet.  I was randomly scrolling through facebook and saw the lady be got Willow from had posted that her niece was selling puppies ready for their forever homes!  Willow is a mix of King Charles Cavalier - Bichon - Poodle.  The pups that were for sale were a mix of: Mom being a King Charles Cavalier and Corgi mix with Dad being a miniature poodle.  They looked super cute on the internet.

The whole thing moved super quick as Bob really liked only the white one as he thought the others looked too much like Willow.  I was told that there was someone else also interested in the white pup that was coming at the end of the week.  So... needless to say... within 48 hours of seeing the puppies we were bringing one home!

WHAT WERE WE THINKING?  But boy is this little boy cute... came with the name Monroe... now known as Duke!  Wish us luck!  (GULP)

Mom:

Our new love... Duke

Toy hog, lol

Can't forget some love for our sweet Willow!!

So silly!

I better make a note... renaming this little guy was super difficult!  RJ made it clear that Morgan named Oreo, I named Willow, and HE was naming this guy.  We went through more names than I can count (or remember)... but the final three RJ narrowed it down to that 'HE' liked were: Charlie (which was my favorite), Kermit (I did NOT like this one), and Duke - which was agreed on by RJ, Morgan, and Bob.  It was fine by me, not my favorite but I wasn't going to argue if the other three FINALLY agreed!

Fourth and Volunteering

Happy Fourth of July!  Up early and headed over to the park to allow Morgan and RJ to volunteer at the pancake breakfast.  It is a great opportunity to teach the kiddos how to give back since we don't have a lot of time during the school year to 'give back' to the community.

After the kiddos finished with serving at the breakfast (8-11) we walked around the old cars and checked them out before getting water ice and heading home.

Later in the evening we came back to the soccer fields and played some soccer with the travel team families and watched the fireworks from great seats!

...LONG travels out of the soccer fields home afterward, but the kiddos had a great time, who could ask for more?!
