Disney Ice Show!

Auntie Nikki, Uncle Bobby, and Felicity gave Morgan a ticket (and a ride) to see the Disney On Ice show revolving around Tangled this year! (Last year Aunt Melanie took Morgan to a different princess ice show and she loved it!) Morgan has been waiting in anticipation to go see the beautiful princesses skating!

Yea! The day has arrived!! Morgan is going to see Disney On Ice with Tangled! She is so very excited!!! It looks like Morgan and Felicity had an amazing time!!!

p.s. Auntie Nikki asked that Morgan bring her Rapunzel doll and that she and Felicity wear the same coat too. Matching... blah... but they did look cute!

Our special visit

First thing this morning eye doctor visit. Eyes seem to be doing what they are supposed to. (THANK GOODNESS).

Every year we take a special visit to pray and remember special loved ones that are still dear to our hearts. Although I think about my grandparents often, going to the cemeteries forces me to stop, think, pray, and reminisce about all the special times I had with my grandmothers, especially.

It is important to me to keep this tradition going for my children as well. Bob kindly said he would go with us, so he drove me to my eye doctor appointment (mandatory someone drive me) and then to the cemeteries.

It wasn't too cold at the graves, a little windy, but not as cold as it has been in the past. I was thankful I got there first and put my wreaths down before MeMom. Her sprays are always beautiful and I would have been jealous of the beauty of hers... so mine were the first to lay at the grave... for a day! MeMom and PopPop were planning on going Sunday.

Memorable Maryland Madness!

This weekend the kiddos and I headed down to visit with Aunt Megan and Uncle Andy. (Bob was away hunting. blah.)

We left on Friday night around 7pm and were blessed this time not to hit too much traffic going down and made it to their home by 10pm. Once we got there the fun craziness began! The kiddos had so much bottled up energy that the running, hopping, talking, and dancing came pouring out for over an hour when the Mean Momma said it was bedtime!

RJ slept on a blow-up mattress in the same room as Morgan. I was a little nervous about the sleeping situation... BUT the kiddos slept until 7am on Saturday morning. Could have been worse! Megan and Andy generously let me have their bed and crashed in their family room. (Thank you... but you know I could have slept down there!! I always feel guilty!)

Saturday was a fun day from start to finish! We started by going to Port Discovery in Baltimore Inner Harbor. We parked in a garage and walked down to the building. As we were walking we passed such buildings as "The pussycat" and a big window that had 'cladly dressed' woman going up and down on a seesaw... use your imagination... and we DEFINITELY walked back to the car after our fun on a different street!

Port Discovery was neat. There was a humongous jungle gym type thing in the middle and different activities around it. The kiddos had a blast! They were a bit scared of the Go-Back-In-Time Mummy room! There favorite was the water room!
How do I make an atom?

This bubble thing was so cool!!

A dryer machine to dry off before leaving the water room!

After a great few hours there we headed home to eat a late (2:30pm) lunch. After lunch they both ate and took naps! Yipee! They took naps in the same room! They slept from around 4pm until 6pm when it was time to wake up and head to the next part of our day!

We went into National Harbor, Maryland to the ICE exhibit! It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! In a nutshell it is based off of a Chinese tradition and 40 Chinese men are brought to Maryland and they create this magical ice land based on something... last year it was Dr. Seuss... using power tools and 10 million pounds of ice! Everything is ice! Ice and color! It was spectacular!!

This year we saw their thoughts of the show Merry Madagascar! I was breathless! The imagination and talent of these men was beyond amazing. Did I mention the exhibit is in a room they keep at 6 degrees?! We were given blue parka jackets to wear over our current jackets and given a strict warning to wear it and not take it off! Boy... were they right! Only problem... everyone looked like everyone else so we had to keep a close eye on the kiddos! As you can see and as I have said, this exhibit was outstanding!

Today was a relaxed day! Church, donuts/bacon/eggs for breakfast, and then just hanging out at Aunt Meggie and Uncle Andy's house watching Elf on the Shelf more times than I can count!

Thanks Meg and Andy for another great weekend!
