Garden accomplished!

My garden was a bit of a frustration for me this year. This garden is literally on it's last legs... the wood is all falling apart, legit rotting away (because you can't use treated wood due to chemicals so untreated wood slowly rots away). The weeds were out of control also. The original plan was to buy roofing metal slates to create 2-3 foot raised beds. That was the plan for months... until the last minute when Bob decided it was too expensive and too much work. I was pretty upset and disappointed. SO... two weeks later I completed my garden from top to bottom alone, the best I could.

Step 1 - get rid of the weeds

Weeds all gone - ready for the next step!

Step 2 - put brackets on some of the wood corners to keep the boxes together (because the rotted posts weren't sturdy anymore)

Step 3 - Adding a mixture of garden soil, top soil and peet moss to spruce up the current soil

Soil all mixed in!

Step 4 - Get those veggies planted!

Yellow Squash

Eggplant and Pepper plants planted
White Eggplant and Green Bean seeds planted

Tomato plants planted

Two types of onions and beet seeds planted

Watermelon plants planted

Cucumber plants planted
Under the lattice lettuce seeds planted
On the left side carrot seeds planted

Green zucchini plants planted

Lots of seeds planted!
Snap peas, sugar peas, edamame, wax beans

Ta-da! Final garden done!
Let's hope for some good crops this year!

Long day - hard work - let's hope and pray it's all worth it!
