Beach, beach, beach!!

We had a great time at the beach!!  I am not sure how to separate all the pictures into an understandable way... I know last year I grouped them... I think I will do that again this year!

In a quick synopsis of our week...

We got down to the shore around 11... long trip with traffic (ugh).  We went down to the beach on Saturday followed by church, supper out to the Sindia (a tradition) with a quick trip to the boardwalk.  As we were at supper it down poured... crazy rain!  Thank goodness we were eating at the time.  No power outages and when we finished supper the rain ended too!  Couple rides followed by going home with tired kiddos!

Sunday we went to the beach as planned.  We were chased off the beach around 12:30 as dark thunderstorm clouds headed our direction. Yup!  We packed everything up and got home just in time before the downpour struck!  Bummer.  The kiddos took a nap... that was the only good thing about being chased from the beach!  Luckily the storm passed over.  We ate tacos in and headed to the boardwalk for rides.

Monday was a beautiful day.  We got down to the beach around 11 and stayed until almost 6pm!  Bobby and Nikki went out for their 'date night' so the rest of us took care of Felicity for the night and MeMom and PopPop put her to bed.  After hitting a restaurant on the boardwalk more rides it was!

Tuesday all the girls, kiddos, and Pop Pop headed down to the beach and had a nice long beach day.  The boys went fishing out on the boat.  Tuesday night Megan, Andy, MeMom, and Pop Pop went out to the casinos in Atlantic City.  They had a nice time but didn't come home holding any extra cash.

Wednesday we all headed to the beach.  Bob's friend Chris and his wife Stephanie along with his two boys joined us on the beach.  Unfortunately the sky started looking scary so we had to pack up and head home around lunchtime.  This time however it didn't rain.  So we put the kiddos down for a nap and some of us headed back to the beach with a small load (versus the big load we always lug down) to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.  Bob and I headed out for our 'date night.'  We ate supper at the Melting Pot (got stuffed) and played a bit at the new casino, Revel.  Bob did not have any luck at gambling but checking out the new hotel was nice. 

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were gorgeous beach days!  Each day we enjoyed the beach for the day followed by supper (either in or out) and then a few rides. 

We were blessed that everyday Morgan and RJ took a nap on the blanket!  Wow!  Morgan is such a good girl and even though RJ said, "No shut eyes" once he laid down it was only a matter of time... he just couldn't win the battle and each day fell asleep.  

The Olympics were also on every night and I tried to watch some of them... but trying to start watching around 11pm with all the excitement of the day... Mr. Sandman won out almost every night and I was called off the couch by Bob after falling asleep (two minutes after sitting down).

We had a fantastic week even with the bouts of rain.  Wish the rain hadn't happened, but can't control mother nature!  I am blessed to have a wonderful family and we made many wonderful memories captured by pictures this week!
