Dutch Wonderland - part 1

We all got up this morning excited for our coming adventure!!  We packed the car and stopped at WaWa for coffee and breakfast before getting on the road at exactly 8:30.  Off we went!!  We got to Dutch Wonderland around 9:55am.  It was chilly out!!  Our car thermometer said 63 when we got there!  It was also overcast... Daddy didn't want to lather up... but I know you can get burnt worse when it is cloudy so I suntan-lotioned up the kiddos (and myself) and off we headed into the park!
The kiddos were wiggling with excitement!!  First stop... the train!

Next stop... visiting with Princess Brooke, her knight, the Wizard and of course DUKE!

After saying hello to the important 'ones' we headed to what Morgan called her favorite ride... all she could talk about was the whip!  Have fun kiddo!!

We continued to move through the park.  Jeep ride anyone?

 Next we jumped on the pandas for a ride!

Next we RAN to the bulldozers!

Then we tried the hopping frogs!  Another fun one!!

And here we are riding the rockets!

And one more choo-choo ride to finish of this post before I run out of space!!  This was hard and Daddy was able to walk behind RJ to give him a push with this stick-thingy... just check out the faces!  I love them... hard at work!

So many fun rides... more to come!!

Soccer and Dads

Today was soccer pictures for Morgan.  I was so afraid all week I was going to forget!!  Here is a sneak peek using my camera... cute kid.  Daddy got to FINALLY come and watch a game!!  This was the first week he was able to come... and he was working!  ha!  One nice thing about working where we play!

Grandmom and Granddad came again today to watch.  They informed me that they will be coming every week to watch.  Good to know!

Some pictures of Morgan in action...

After soccer we ran errands and then came home in time for lunch and nap.

Tonight we celebrated Father's Day with Daddy and Pop Pop.  We had a yummy supper... roast beef, ranch potatoes, and steamed broccoli with homemade key lime pie for dessert!  Yum! The kiddos even ate a good supper!  Not just a pick here a pick there!  I forgot to take a picture.  oops.  Just have to believe me that everything was delicious and a good time was spent with wonderful fathers.

Happy Father's Day to:
DADDY
POP POP
GRANDDAD
...and all the other amazing dads out there!

Dinner Party

...for Morgan and RJ!  A neighborhood mom got tired of her daughter asking to have this girl, that boy, this boy, that girl over to eat supper all the time so she decided to throw a dinner party for her daughters.  Morgan and RJ were on the guest list so OF COURSE I sent them!!  A party from 4:30-7:30 kids only!  I was sent away soon after I dropped them off!  Wow!!  a couple hours to myself?!  That never happens!!

Because I knew about the party I decided not actually sleep in a little bit this morning and I did my workout after dropping off the kiddos.  I have realized I workout better in the morning but it felt good to sleep until 7 this morning instead of 3:30am...

Here are a couple pictures of the winding down party...

FINALLY OUT!!

School's Out... for SUMMER!

It isn't too far into June... but I feel like this month of June just dragged with so much to get done in such a little amount of time... gosh that really makes no sense, but... the last two-ish weeks were out of control and I am SO glad I can officially say it is summer!  Yea!

We celebrated by going out for our first ride of the summer in the jeep with the top off!  Ice cream was a nice treat as we drove around!

Almost over...

I feel like for the last two weeks I have been a stranger to myself and my family....  all I can really remember is the daily routine:

* Wake up around 3:30am
* Complete P90X
* Shower and dress
* Go to work
* See kids and do paperwork....
* More paperwork
* More paperwork
* Come home, eat supper, put kiddos to bed, go to bed
* Repeat.

Ugh.  No fun!!

Today I was trying to pack up my room, write reports, talk to parents on the phone, file piles of paperwork, does the fun ever end?  I cannot wait to enjoy my summer with my kiddos!!!  Not to help other kids, but to love, nurture, and teach my own kiddos!  This summer is the first summer that I am hoping to structure each day with some academics and reading.  Big hopes, we'll see if I can keep it up!

Today I got some nice end of the year presents.  A gift card to Target, a Vera Bradley paper cube, a candle holder, a chocolate bar and the following two gifts...  The first gift was so thoughtful and creative... if anyone knows what the plant is, could you let me know?  Don't know where to plant it... I've never seen a plant grow sideways like that before.

School.

I cannot WAIT for school to be finished.  These last two weeks have been absolutely insane, ridiculous, stressful.... and I am hoping not to go mental!

I just feel like I have been attached to my computer not only at work, but here at home too.  Morgan actually said, "When will you stop being on the computer?"  I told her soon... It breaks my heart that I feel like I am neglecting MY kiddos for school work.  Urgh.  I think the only thing that is keeping me as sane as I am is that I have continued working out in the morning.  That is a good stress relieving activity... especially P90X!!

I do love my job... but seriously... 28 reports in 10 days... absolutely insane!!! Here is a picture from one of my boys at school.  So cute... I really do love what I do!

 Can you tell what this kiddo is obsessed with right now?

Summer Prom Party

Ha!  Not really... but at school we celebrate each set of birthdays per month so the groups for June, July, and August went together to celebrate us summer birthdays... it was WILD!  We each got a carnation and got our picture taken with our prom date!  To munch on they had a candy bar set up (with snickers, Swedish fish, cow tails, gummy worms, Butterfingers, and m&ms just to name a few), two punch bowls full of punch, soft pretzels, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered blueberries, fruit bowls, bagels, and other scrumptious things!  It was awesome!  Then our 'take home' gift on top of the carnation was a little taste of summer with little packets of non-alcoholic specialty drinks!  Wow, this morning was fun!!

 Candy box to hold the stash of goodies!
