Doctors...

I went for my dermatologist appointment this morning. When I called to make my appointment I found out my long term derm had retired (I had gone to her since I was 5) and another Dr. had taken over. I made an appointment with Dr. Shrager. The receptionist did tell me it was a male, but that was all I knew. The last time I tried to change dermatologists because my original doctor didn't take my insurance it was a disaster... so I was a bit nervous.

Hmm... I only waited maybe five minutes and was taken back. Strip naked with the gown opening in the back... great... for some man...again I only waited about 3 minutes and in came an attractive fellow. I am guessing he was late thirties early forties... good set of hair (I like good hair!), thin, and a warm smile. At first I felt like he strongly questioned the medicines I have used for years for my psoriasis. [All I wanted was a refill!] Then he started to warm up and he checked my body. I found out that a mole is not always raised! Hmm... I thought a freckle was flat and a mole was raised! He took one mole off my foot that I think was totally fine (just looked like a freckle to me) but I guess better to be safe than sorry. Gave me the meds I had requested that keeps my psoriasis down on my ears and head and off I went. Pretty easy and simple visit. He said with my family history I didn't have to come but once every couple years. I think I will still go once a year just to touch base for a full check, just in case. He also mentioned that I was very fare, and that my skin looked great. That was a nice compliment since I don't do very much to it!!

Next I took the kiddos to their ENT appointments. We had to wait FOREVER! Urgh. Keeping two little ones without naps calm and compliant at 3:00pm in the afternoon doesn't work too well. RJ was just grouchy because he was tired. (He did fall asleep on the way home!) Our appointment went well. Morgan was able to do the complete audiological evaluation. Her hearing is great! She can hear everything that is said, so the "Huh's" and "What's" are just a habit or a behavior. Her tubes were still functioning perfectly. RJ's tubes were functioning perfectly too! Thank goodness. No more ear appointments for a while (I hope)!

After we got home... more pool time!

Glad to hear your dermatology appt went well:) Dr. Shrager is who I see. His PA removed the mole and then he had to fix the stitches. Very nice man:)
Also glad to hear that R.J. and Morgan had great ENT checkups.
