Cemetery Visit

We made it for our cemetery visits...

Attitude is always given, but the kids always go.

Something I truly appreciate it.

We were reminiscing about Grandmom so much I forgot to take photos. I guess memory sharing is more important than a photo!

Cemetery visits wear out the youngsters, lol

Grave Visit

First stop, Mom-Mom's grave (Pop Pop's mom and dad)

Second stop, Nana's grave (MeMom's mom and dad)

Last stop... Daddy's mom (Grandmom)

We made it to visit our loved ones of the past.  It is something many people would not even think about, but this has been a tradition since I was young that I will continue to do as it brings back fond memories and makes me stop and think about loved ones that are no longer with us.

This year Willow took the trip with us since she loves the car.  Poor Duke stayed home because he does not enjoy the car.  He was sad, but in the end was happier (I'm sure!).

Daddy was with us in spirit!

Cemetery Visits

This year we created our wreaths and headed out to the graves.  Especially hard to visit Mom Lee for the first time.  Still so hard to believe!

Here we are making the wreaths to be laid out for our loved ones:

Visiting lost love ones

Every year we go to visit the cemeteries... it is something I have done since I was young, and even though Morgan and RJ have no clue who we are visiting, we still go.  We share our homemade sprays and say some prayers.  It is one time a year that I actually stop and remember my dear grandmothers that I loved so very much.

This year Bob was supposed to go with us... but we had an epic fail.  Last Sunday we were heading out around 1pm to go to the cemeteries... I THOUGHT all Catholic cemeteries were open until 4pm daily, even Pop Pop said so.  Bob asked me to look up the first cemetery so we could plug in the actual address into our GPS.  Well... surprise, the cemetery was only open until 2.  Ugh... same with the other one... so... U-turn at the Lansdale exit and back home we went....

Here are our pictures from this weekend...
