Christmas Eve - so different

Of course Christmas Eve would come with the vengeance! Not only cold air, but insane wind and insane amounts of rainfall. There went any traces of snow that were left... boo hiss... no white Christmas for us!

We watched Christmas Eve mass from our couch and enjoyed a nice fish meal created by Daddy. Lots of pictures before heading to bed in hopes Santa will come!

One last cuddle with Hugs as he and Sweetie will head back to the North Pole tonight. Sad time for us!

Kids were snug as bugs in their beds and I went down to the basement to pull out the presents Bob and I bought for the kids and we had a DISTASTER! Ugh... the sump pump was spraying water everywhere! Not what we wanted to see around 11:30pm... gah! Thank goodness we figured out how to fix it and got to bed before Santa arrived! It was a close one! Whew!

Grave Visit

First stop, Mom-Mom's grave (Pop Pop's mom and dad)

Second stop, Nana's grave (MeMom's mom and dad)

Last stop... Daddy's mom (Grandmom)

We made it to visit our loved ones of the past. It is something many people would not even think about, but this has been a tradition since I was young that I will continue to do as it brings back fond memories and makes me stop and think about loved ones that are no longer with us.

This year Willow took the trip with us since she loves the car. Poor Duke stayed home because he does not enjoy the car. He was sad, but in the end was happier (I'm sure!).

Daddy was with us in spirit!

25 months: (12-22-08) First intelligible 3-wd sentence: Dada ickey on!
almost 26 months: (1-10-08) Is counting to five consistently and knows many colors
3-20-09: favorite phrase= "I see (item) TOO!"
5-4-09: Talking like crazy! (3-5 word phrases)
6-3-09: First day wearing big girl underwear all day! (except nap and bedtime)

6-22-09: Pulling himself up on furniture unassisted!

8-31-09: Free standing for a few seconds

10-4-09: Oh so close to walking!
10-9-09: Climbed to the top of the stairs!
10-17-09 (12 month-ish): First tooth! {Top right}
11-07-09: Can get into standing position to walking from the ground unassisted!
12-15-09: First word "Momma"
12-27-09: Running!
1-20-10: Sliding on belly down the stairs alone
2-20-10: Got tooth number 4! (on bottom)
4-28-10: tubes
2-18-11: second set of tubes
5-25-13 Favorite phrases: "Oh my goodness" and "Oh, darn it!"
