Today Morgan had a play date with a friend from school. Last night... oh my... Morgan and I had a conversation...
(Identities are hidden b/c Morgan is just learning how to respect everyone!!)
Morgan: "Momma, I don't want to go to ***'s house tomorrow, her Momma is FAT (exaggeration here) like xxx's Momma (side note - the nicest lady!!) and I don't like fat people. They scare me."
Momma, "You are silly."
Morgan, "No, Momma I don't want to go to ***'s house because I am scared of her Momma."
Momma, "Morgan, just because someone is heavy, not fat, but heavy it does NOT (exaggerate) mean they are mean. If Momma says a person is nice, then they are nice and there is NO (exaggerate) reason for you to be scared of them!"
Morgan, "Ok Momma."
Momma, "If they are heavy or skinny, long hair or short hair, tall or short, blue eyes or brown eyes, it DOES.NOT.MATTER. If Momma tells you they are nice and I trust them then you trust them and they are not scary!"
Morgan, "Ok Momma. I will go on my play date."
Momma, "I'm glad. You will have a ton of fun!"
Wow!! I can't believe she said that... but better to teach her young that we should not pre-judge anyone per their appearance!
Potty training. ugh. We have been doing so well with potty training!!! SO WELL!!
Well... today while RJ was waiting in the car (crying hysterically) for me to walk Morgan into her play date he peed in his car seat. Really kid? REALLY? I was angry! But I tried to keep my cool.
RJ and I came home after running a couple errands and worked around the house. I took off his car seat cover and washed it. Then we needed to go pick up Morgan. RJ's car seat was still taken apart and the cushion was still drying so I pottied RJ and told him he could sit in Morgan's car seat. (This is a reward for him!) We went over to the house to pick up Morgan... and again I left him in the car (crying) as I went in to get Morgan. I came out and guess what... YUP... he peed in Morgan's seat!! I was very livid at this point! I was seeing red!!!! We got home and I quickly took him out of the car, made him take his clothes off, go upstairs, potty, and nap... before I did something I would regret.
So... then I had to wash Morgan's car seat too. **sigh** The tribulations of potty training a little stubborn boy.
On a side note... Morgan had a blast at her friends house and asked to play with her again!
