Schultz Visit

Since I was oblivious... I forgot to take photos... the Schultz family joined the kiddos and me at the pool and stayed there most of the day followed by supper out where MeMom and Pop Pop joined us.

Pool climb

We hit the pool for a couple hours today. The kiddos both made it to the top! Looks hard! RJ practiced a lot to make it to the top! I even got in and swam some laps! The water really wasn’t too cold and it was not crowded at all!

Pool Fun!

Today was the first time we hit the pool this season! Nice hot day! We took a neighbor with us and I think all had a great time! I only got one picture moment!

We haven't been making it to the pool too often so far this summer... finally got a pool selfie!  :)


Hot and beautiful day!  The kiddos had fun swimming and the humidity wasn't too bad today!  After swim team hopefully more lazy days at the pool to come!!

Ending the pool season

Always bitter sweet to find the end of the season upon us. I really enjoy sitting at the pool day in and day out, watching my kiddos play and have fun, and catching up on reading of magazines and books that slacked during the school year!  It also means school is starting along with busy schedules and stress.  Soaking it in... one.last.day!

Last day enjoying the pool!!  We had a great time this year at the pool, kids swam and swam, Momma read and read!  (And swam a little bit too!)  Until next year...

Pool Play

We attempted to go to the pool but it was shut down because of 'gross' things occurring that I do not want to describe... so we came back home and blew up our pool.  The kiddos had fun, although it was a bit cold... the water coming straight from the hose!!

Fun, fun, and more fun!

Today we started out with Vacation Bible School.  The kiddos really seem to be enjoying themselves!  Everyday they have been singing and dancing, making crafts, having a snack, and this years theme is learning about Mary.  It is neat to hear them share things they have learned and to sing their songs to me as we are driving to our next destination!

Today was a little bit hectic as I dropped everyone off at 9:00 for VBS, next picked RJ up early at 10:30 to take him to speech, then raced back to get the girls, and off to the pool we went!  We relaxed at the pool from about 12:30 until 6:00!!  It was great!  It wasn't too humid and there was a nice breeze!  When the kiddos got bored swimming I brought books so they took a break reading books!  We enjoyed lunch and snacks throughout the afternoon too!  (And since I  packed them RJ couldn't ask for unhealthy snacks!!  We had applesauce, apples, grapes, yogurt, it was a healthy afternoon!)

Came home and ate a rotisserie chicken with mac-n-cheese for supper.  Yum!

Busy day...ending with rain

Today we had a busy day!  We started with waking everyone up (except RJ of course...) to eat breakfast and get ready for Vacation Bible School.  We headed over and RJ was in the Playful Panda group and the girls were in the Joyful Jaguars.  They enjoyed time there from 9-12 in which time I ran errands, exercised, showered, made lunches and picked them up.  (Oh...and the dog was sick so I had to clean up a MESSY cage and dirty dog, but that is besides the point...)

I picked up the kiddos and got a CD of the songs they were learning.  We played it in the car all the way to the pool.  It was a sweet sing-a-long in the back of the car (if you consider screaming the words at the top of your lungs times three).  But I love it!!

We ate our sandwiches in the car and then played and played and played in the pool!!!  I think I was in for about 1.5 hours and the girls and RJ stayed in for over 2 hours!  We were all wrinkled prunes!!  I think everyone had a great time!

As we got home and it started to rain... boo :(  No campfire for us tonight!

Catherine and the kiddos enjoyed some corn on the cob!  Yum!
