Weekend in Bradford

We had a great time!!

We got up to the mountains around 3:30pm. Right before we got there RJ fell asleep in the truck. Of course! We just left the truck running with him in it. He ended up taking a 2 hour nap. Yea!

We unpacked a bit and checked out our cabin.

Friday night we went up into New York to Tioga Downs. (The pictures are on a different post.)

We came home from the race track and enjoyed some time around the campfire before heading to bed.

Sleeping was ok... Morgan and Daddy slept together in one room, RJ and I slept together in another room. I put two mattresses on the floor for RJ and I. I figured that was the safest bet. RJ slept ok... he is a wiggle worm so I didn't sleep as good as he did! Thank goodness he slept through the night!

Saturday we spent most of the day relaxing and riding around on the 4-wheeler. The middle of the day we headed to the local winery. We went Josh, Nichole and Madison. Morgan got along so well with Madison! Each couple shared a bottle of wine and the kiddos ate lunch as we sat overlooking the quiet land.

Saturday evening we had a picnic and a campfire. Although we had the picnic and campfire at a guy's home that we don't know very well it was an ok time. I was hoping for a blazing campfire that makes your clothes smell... but the guy who's house we were at made a small, low key fire. *sigh* I was the minority (for where I wanted to have the fire) so I lost, and we stayed at the couple's house after the picnic for the bonfire. After the small campfire we all headed back to our cabins to get some shut eye.

*Side note... RJ again fell asleep in the truck and I said I would stay with him while Bob went to see what time the picnic was starting. He got a drink and forgot about me. Hence all the picnic food was cold and I was not a happy Momma by the time I got to the picnic... *sigh*

Sunday when we woke up we cleaned up the house and had a blast on the 4-wheelers for several hours. It was a lot of fun! We had a great weekend. It is always hard to leave... especially when we enjoyed a life away from reality! No cell phone service, no computer hook up, just peace and quiet!
