Final winter day away!

Fun day today… Morgan went skiing again and the rest of us watched the cardboard sled race. Because of the warmth the snow wasn’t the best for the homemade sleds but all the kiddos had fun anyway!

Nice end to the weekend. Tomorrow is the clean-up and leaving of our 'home away from home'

Weekend away - Eagle Rock

We went to Eagle Rock for a long weekend! Morgan and Dad headed off to ski and RJ and I started on the snow tubing hill.

RJ got bored pretty quickly on the snow tubing hill so he attempted skiing for the first time! Fun times (and some frustration!)

Stopping for a bite to eat! The base lodge had a band going so it was a nice break from skiing...

Back to the slopes...

This girl got brave and did a black diamond.

Because this is a smaller resort black diamonds here aren't as scary as other resorts, but wow!  Good for that girl - this Momma is so impressed!! (And glad Momma knew after she did it not before she did it!)

Successful day at the slopes!

After the slopes we went to the indoor pool for about an hour. It was pretty crowded and the water was cold so we didn't stay too long... just enough to get a dip and say we were there!

The rest of the night we vegged in the house. Everyone seemed pooped after their fun day on the slopes!

Home away from home!

We finally made it to Eagle Rock and got checked in. Here is the schedule for our weekend!

After a fast food pizza we went to the activity center to fool around. Some basketball, some ping pong, and some foosball. 

Then back to the norm...

Tomorrow skiing and tubing!

Sad day for RJ :(

RJ’s fish of almost 3 years has passed away. Gilbert lasted a lot longer than we expected him to. RJ took good care of him. He fed him and talked to him - they were good companions for each other!
