Track Senior Night!

Track senior night! These events are flying! I can’t believe she has now had her last senior night of all her sports! Although she doesn’t have any real close friends on the team she loves pole vaulting and made her current boyfriend in the process, a fellow QCSD pole vaulter! She has continued to make new PRs even with an old pole. With a new pole I’m sure she would fly even higher! So proud of all your accomplishments Morgan!

Track Banquet

Tonight was Morgan's track banquet. It was a catered meal in the cafeteria followed by the awards in the QPAC (auditorium). Time for the juniors!

When her name was called she was labeled 'The Pole Vaulter'

Morgan was excited she was identified like that because she has worked her tushy off to get her newest personal record of 7 feet, 6 inches this year!

Head Coach - Mr. Anderson (in the black shirt)

Coach - Dr. Hood (in the light colored shirt)

Coach Parsons (in the blue shirt)

Leave it to Morgan - pause to pose for her Momma

Track Banquet

Tonight was Morgan’s track banquet. Very nice set up and although it was long and boring for me because I really didn’t know many people, Morgan looked like she was having fun with her friends - and that’s all that matters! (It was also boys and girls mixed track so that took longer to hand out rewards.)

She received a letter tonight for earning points for her team at at least 1 track meet. So proud of you girl!!

Morgan - finals!

I had a conference day so I decided to leave from school and finish my conference while driving and attending her meet.  She was so surprised to see me!! Sadly she tried her best but didn’t get over the 6 foot pole.  It was raining.  She cried. I tried to comfort her. I know that feeling of defeat. And embarrassment. It stinks. There was nothing I could do or say to make her feel better. She tried her best! I’m so proud of her! She tried something new and made it to champs her freshman year! She always amazes me and I couldn’t be more proud of her!

First Track Invitational!!

Morgan as a freshman was invited to an Invitational Meet for track.  There are only 3 pole-vaulters and you are allowed to enter 3 per event!  So cool for her!  Not many freshman get this opportunity!  So excited for her!!  She asked for a warm breakfast, so I made her eggs and toast with avocado on the side!  Good luck baby girl!  You got this peanut!
