Beth and a movie

Well... tonight I was lonely... Bob was working, Morgan was headed to a local carnival then sleepover, and RJ is still away on vacation with a friend. So... I decided to go to a local 'old fashion' movie theater and see the new Moana movie. Not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last time I go to a movie alone. But, for $5.00 how could I go wrong?

Getting ready for the movie!

Here was the advertisement!

I love the old lady telling us to behave as she makes a mess while making cookies in her kitchen

As I was driving home I was having some trouble seeing the road clearly... I was beginning to worry that my night vision was shot... but when I got home I found this... a bulb was out. My headlights are dim to begin with so having one out...yiyi. On a positive note - at least my eyesight is still ok, haha!

Movie time

A big thank you to MeMom and Pop Pop for taking us to the movies... we got to see the 'real people' version of Beauty and the Beast.  It was a great remake of the cartoon version although I felt there were a couple parts that were changed or left out that I would have liked from the original!

LEGO movie!

Today we had a busy day!  We got up, got dressed and we were off.  We decided to go to the Catholic church closer to the movie theater we would be attending, closer to Bob's parents in Warrington.  Got to church with time to spare, and headed right over to the 11:30 showing of the LEGO movie.  I thought for sure it would be a little bit more affordable... 11:30am on a Sunday... how many people see a movie on a Sunday morning right? WRONG...

$40.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  GULP! gulp.gulp.gulp!  That was NOT 3-D... If you want 3D please add four dollars to each ticket... NO way am I spending $56.00 for 3D.

How can a kiddo ticket cost 9.00 and an adult 11.00 on a Sunday morning.  I still can't get over it!!!  ...now I know why we don't go to the movies very much!!!!

...and don't forget the popcorn we ended up buying too... oiy vey!

Onto the LEGO movie... Bob and I didn't really enjoy it.  Don't get me wrong, the animation of LEGOs was amazing.  The story line for us was a bit boring.  I actually checked my watch two or three times.  RJ didn't even keep interested.. when we saw Frozen he was glued to the movie.  When we saw Monsters University he stayed glued to the movie.  During the LEGO movie he stood up a couple times and asked  a ton of questions throughout the movie.  Bummer because the movie was a reward he earned!

(p.s. RJ did NOT want to stand with the LEGO sign... tell you something?)

After the movie we headed over to Grandmom and Granddad's house to visit.  We hadn't seen them in over a month!  We had a nice visit then went out to eat at a Chinese Buffet.  It was a nice time for all.

We got home late.  It was a long day!  We left our house around 9am and finally got home around 5:30pm.  Next it was time to rush around and get everything ready for the school week ahead!

Frozen!

Today Bob decided we were going to see Frozen!  He thought it would be fun to go to the Grand an old-fashioned movie theater somewhat near our home.  Ok, would be fun!  Bob then offered that each kiddo could invite a friend.  Morgan and RJ made their phone calls and brought their 'best friends' with them!
I think everyone had a great time!  The best part about it?  The show was great, BUT the price for all of us to go was amazing!!  Tickets for 6 of us, two small sodas, one medium soda, and three medium popcorns was a total of $30.00!  Cheap or what?!

Awesome!!
