Wrestling Banquet

Tonight concluded wrestling with a nice banquet. It would have been better if we knew more people and could have sat with people we knew, but it was still a nice production the organization put together.

We won't talk about the fact that as RJ entered the house with his awesome trophy he snapped off the year... super glue to the rescue (with some added tears!)!

Wrestling... second of the weekend!

Today we had to be at Salisbury High School by 7:00am. Such early mornings! Oiy. We hit dunkin donuts (again) on the way...

RJ did a nice job today!!

Match 1: He won! 12-5 points! Awesome job!!
Match 2: Pinned almost immediately (boo hiss)
Match 3: He kept in it! They were tie at the end of the 3 minutes! 7-7. It then goes into sudden death and whoever gets the next point wins. Big bummer... the other kiddo got the point. But we were supper proud of RJ! He really did give it his all today!

Early Wrestling Match

This morning we had to be at Upper Perk High School at 6:30am. Gulp! So early this morning! We got there and waited... I am learning that wrestling has the motto... hurry up and wait!

RJ did a great job today... sorta!

Match 1: He kept his own, and kept the scoring close, but lost his first match
Match 2: Pinned in 20 seconds... ugh...
Match 3: Lost the match, but kept the scoring close.

He won a 4th place medal! He was beyond thrilled! He was so excited... and it was a big, heavy medal! Good job buddy!

I have to give the kiddo credit... he hasn't cried on the mat yet. I just wish he would show more aggression on the mat! He always appears so passive... and I KNOW he has aggressive bones!! Maybe we should tape homework onto his opponent's backs! hahaha!
