RJ's gingerbread house

RJ was invited over to his friends house to make homemade gingerbread houses!  How cool is that?  The mom actually made the gingerbread from scratch, edible icing, and loads of candy!

RJ had so much fun!

And his gingerbread house came out amazing!
RJ called it the snowman guarded house

2016 Gingerbread House

Morgan made the Lee Household gingerbread house this year.  RJ helped a little bit... but then he got bored.  She took her time, and made it from top to bottom, exactly the way she wanted!  So proud of her, she did an awesome job!!

Daddy and his Gingerbread House

Daddy enjoys making a gingerbread house every year.  It is not 'my thing' so I mostly let Daddy do the house with the kiddos. Usually I need to step in and help put the house together, but this year they did it all by themselves!  (Daddy and Morgan that is... RJ didn't have the patience to wait...)  RJ did help with the decorations although Morgan didn't want him to...

Turned out pretty good!  The call one side the nice side and the other side is the spooky side!

Gingerbread house!!!

Today we continued our tradition of making a gingerbread house!  Well, sorta.

Daddy always forgets that we need to put the house together and let it dry FIRST before we decorate.  Daddy decided he wanted to use Gorilla Glue instead of the provided icing.

I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to get stressed out over this house.  This is Bob's thing he likes the family to do... I don't love making them but go along for the ride.

Well...after 15-20 minutes of attempting to use Gorilla Glue and RJ getting bored and leaving the table (after eating some of the candy) I asked one last time, do you think I can do it now with the icing?

Bob let me and Morgan and I put the house together in about 5 minutes.  Then we let it dry.

After supper we came back to it.  Daddy didn't want to help. (But it is YOUR tradition!!) and RJ had no interest...  Morgan and I got to work.  After the roof and helping Morgan with icing she decorated the rest of the house by herself.

Morgan had so much fun and did such an AWESOME job!  Way to go Morgan!

I LOVE our GINGERBREAD HOUSE!
