Eggs?

This was the strangest thing...

A little birdie decided to build a nest in our winter wreath. (Right before I was going to take it down!) She started to lay eggs... I counted up to 5! Then... they started disappearing, down to zero?! The nest was abandoned!? I have never seen that before! You see something new all the time!
