HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

I can't believe Morgan is 5!!!  I feel like I say that every year - but time really does fly!  It has been an amazing year!

Dear Morgan,
Besides your hair growing another few inches and you growing taller, your brain keeps on absorbing so much!  You soak in everything around you and are learning and retaining new information everyday!

You know your address and recite it on command.  You love playing the rhyming game!  You say a word and start naming word after word that rhyme.  Some that are real words and some that are made up.  You can write your name with lower case letters and can easily write your last name too!  You can spell and write the words: love, no, Momma, Daddy, Pop Pop, and MeMom from memory!  Way to go!

You started ballet this year and saying you love it is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!  You dance around the house and are always practicing your new skills.  Your dancing and singing warms my heart!

You are such a kind, sweet, and loving sister to RJ!  You think of him and share your most special things with him.  Almost everyday at school you save part of your special treat and give him half after school!  All the other kids gobbled up their yummies, but you clearly articulated some would be saved for RJ.  It just melts my heart.

Your favorite things continue to be princesses and anything girlie!!  You want long hair like Rapunzel and would wear a dress everyday if I let you!

You are telling me more about what you do at school and you have made many new friends.  This year you get homework and you love to do it!  You often ask to do more or do extra touches to the homework you are given.

You love making crafts!  You take your time and your projects come out beautiful!  Although not always symmetrical they are all still obvious of thought!

This year you have learned what chores are.  Your chores include: letting the dogs out, making your bed, and helping to empty the dishwasher.  You are also starting to clear your own supper plate.  You are being taught the importance of saving money and we together are filling your piggy bank with quarters for doing your chores and trying your best to follow the house rules.

You definitely have your own little personality too!  You have learned how to tattle tale, say no to requests, and have begun to tell us you don't need a nap.  (Don't worry... you still take them almost everyday!)  Your favorite question in the car is, "How many minutes until we get there?"

Peanut, you have had an amazing year of growth and I love you more and more each day!  You inspire me and amaze me everyday.  I can't wait to see what your next year brings!

Happy 5th birthday baby girl.  I love you!
Momma
