Sprinkler Fun!

The kids had a blast in the sprinkler today!! We enjoyed being outside almost all day today!! ...I would also like to report... RJ had another poop in his Elmo potty today, no accidents of pee inside or outside! He is getting the idea that he needs to run over to the Elmo potty when he has to go. He calls everything poopy but we can work on that!! I'm so proud of him... so far... so good...

Naked.Period.

Today I tried a new approach to potty training. A naked RJ running around. Shirt on, no pants, diapers, underpants... bare bottom boy. He wore a diaper today for his speech session, and for nap, but other than that he was a naked hiney all day long!! Tonight Morgan and RJ were dancing to the potty song sung by Elmo and his Daddy on his video. Let me note with excitement... RJ had ONE accident all day long! Only one!! I'm so proud of him!! Let's see how he does tomorrow, naked here we come! (It's all good because I LOVE naked baby bottoms!!)

Splish-Splash

We all went swimming today! Morgan took her class and it was great to see what a little swimmer she has become and is becoming! She loves the water and is a little fish!! RJ went swimming with Morgan and I after her class. He tolerates the water, but he gets cold very quickly so he does not enjoy the water (YET) as much as Morgan. p.s.... RJ went pee in the potty two times this afternoon... he also wet 5 more pairs of underpants between waking up from nap and bedtime. **sigh**

Torture

...for all.

Today starts potty training for RJ! They recommend he be potty trained before entering preschool in the fall. Time to get potty trained! More painful for him or me? It has been 1.5 hours since he has worn underpants this morning and we have gone through 5 pairs! Oh my... MeMom recommended a book called Potty Training in a Day... I got it from the library, but they suggest getting a potty training doll... a $40.00 doll. Ugh. That is a lot! Maybe I'll buy it and possibly return it if he starts to get the idea without it? Morgan was so easy... I'm in for a dozy!!

Carnivores!

My kiddos LOVE lunch meat roll-ups. They think it is fun to bite into the rolled up meat. Felicity (who I was told does.not.eat.meat) joined in the fun... as you can see!! Felicity insisted on wearing Morgan's tinker bell nightgown and Morgan finally gave in and let her wear it for bed. Felicity was so happy!! It took a lot from Morgan to give up her nightgown and I was very proud of her!!

Blast of Water

Today was a fun filled day!! Daddy and I worked on the shelves in the garage (pictures to come) and then after naps was the annual neighborhood block party! It started off with the fire trucks coming, letting each child shoot the water hose and then giving off a blast of water from a hose on top of their truck. Morgan, RJ, and even Felicity loved trying to shoot the hose... as far as the downpour of water... only Morgan was brave enough to partake in that fun!! After the excitement of the fire trucks we headed into our open space area in the center of the neighborhood and enjoyed an afternoon/evening of chatting with neighbors while watching the kiddos all play together! It was a nice late afternoon evening, and the weather even cooperated!! It was less humid and by dusk it was even a little chilly! Perfect day for a picnic!

Hopefully the kiddos all sleep great tonight... with all the playing they did they should ALL be worn out!!
