Grange Fair

We went to the grange fair over the weekend. The kids had a great time! We started out with the chicken supper and then began to investigate the fair! Morgan and RJ loved the pony rides! We also checked out all the livestock! Humongous cows, large horses, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, oh my! There were craft tables and other object set-ups (i.e. Tupperware, spa set up, republican endorsement area, etc.) that we briefly looked at. Then off to hit a few rides before heading home. Bob really enjoys the Grange Fair and it has become a yearly tradition!

Cold

Bummer... Morgan came down with a cold this morning! We got through almost the whole summer without ANYONE in the family getting sick. Hopefully it is a quick moving cold! She does sneeze into her elbow (while giving herself a hug) so maybe (?) no one else will get the cold... I'm not holding my breath!! Give me some comments... when is it to old to be kissing EVERYONE on the mouth after playing? Morgan still loves to kiss all her friends on the mouth along with a hug. Should I start teaching her just to hug her friends, any advice, any??

Today was the last summer swim class for Morgan. She did ok... she puts her face under water a lot more when forced to by me versus the teacher... but I guess the teacher doesn't have the 'pull' that I have!! (or the ultimatums) I may also expect too much... but I'd rather have high expectations for her than wasting money with her being stubborn the whole class!!

Time to dive!!

We got there with about 10-15 minutes to spare even with lots of traffic! Great seats down from third base!
We had a great time!

The ride took FOREVER to get there... almost two hours (usually 50 minutes). Ugh. Once we got there we had a nice time! It was hot!!

Behaviorist

Today was the day we went to the Behaviorist. I am not going to go into specifics at this point... I still need everything the doctor said to sink in and I need to read all the literature and behavior plan she has given us. I am not sure why we had to take all three dogs (Carleigh is included here) and Morgan with us... but we all went. Nothing was done using interaction between us and any of the dogs... oh well. Couple pictures of Morgan and one of the obedient Lacey!

Beach-n-Birds

(From Wed 8/11 while we were at the beach)

Wednesday morning Morgan and RJ were both awake early so we all took a bike ride together and took some pictures in the early morning on the beach. As you can see it was tough to get smiles from two kiddos at the same time!

On Wednesday we also took some bread down to the beach and fed the hungry birds... however this year they didn't swarm like other years... maybe we just picked an off time? We did around 11am before the beach filled completely up! All the kiddos and MeMom had fun with the birds!

This was a ride that 'whipped' the car around the corners.

RJ and Morgan came off all smiles! They loved the ride!!

Daddy went on the small Ferris Wheel with the kiddos.

Family Reunion

Bob's Dad's side had a family reunion at a local park to us. It was nice to see everyone come together! There was one little girl about two years older than Morgan there. (Bob's cousin's child) Morgan had fun playing with Mary for the day! It was very nice to look at old pictures and to learn more about people in Bob's side of the family!
