Finally - snow!

Finally! A little coating of snow!  Not enough to play in or even cause a 2 hour delay but at least I saw a little white fall from the sky this year!

It looks so pretty!

Happy 70th Mom/MeMom!

Happy early 70th birthday Mom/MeMom (a few days early!)  

Surprise... a little surprise supper at TGI Fridays.  I pulled this off and actually surprised her! My family and Bobby's family join us to surprise MeMom!  We love you!

RJ’s early spring concert

Morgan's first salon cut and color!

Morgan is getting her first 'adult' haircut at a salon (instead of a cheap shop as she and I usually go to since we usually get nothing fancy done).  She decided she wanted a big change...

You can't tell but she got 'curtain' bangs' which in essence are longer bangs down to her chin

Heading home from Eagle Rock

After we checked out of our room we took one more look of the lodge balcony.  It was beautiful even in the middle of winter with no snow! One picture for memory purpose!

Dad decided he wanted to stop in Jim Thorpe to walk around.

This was a cool ice sculpture we saw in town. The town felt old fashioned and almost like it could be in a different country!  Small streets and old fashion building fronts.

Dad bribed Morgan to this town with a popular sushi restaurant.  You can see she was super excited!

Someone else was not as thrilled... can you tell? lol

He did enjoy his food!

After a couple hours in town we headed home.  

Nice long weekend away! 

Now back to reality!

Final winter day away!

Fun day today… Morgan went skiing again and the rest of us watched the cardboard sled race. Because of the warmth the snow wasn’t the best for the homemade sleds but all the kiddos had fun anyway!

Nice end to the weekend. Tomorrow is the clean-up and leaving of our 'home away from home'

Weekend away - Eagle Rock

We went to Eagle Rock for a long weekend! Morgan and Dad headed off to ski and RJ and I started on the snow tubing hill.

RJ got bored pretty quickly on the snow tubing hill so he attempted skiing for the first time! Fun times (and some frustration!)

Stopping for a bite to eat! The base lodge had a band going so it was a nice break from skiing...

Back to the slopes...

This girl got brave and did a black diamond.

Because this is a smaller resort black diamonds here aren't as scary as other resorts, but wow!  Good for that girl - this Momma is so impressed!! (And glad Momma knew after she did it not before she did it!)

Successful day at the slopes!

After the slopes we went to the indoor pool for about an hour. It was pretty crowded and the water was cold so we didn't stay too long... just enough to get a dip and say we were there!

The rest of the night we vegged in the house. Everyone seemed pooped after their fun day on the slopes!
