Oh boy... Daddy wanted to go on a family bike ride today... so after watching mass in the family room with Uncle Jeff we headed out on our bike ride.
Hold on... it's going to be a bumpy ride! Daddy did not necessarily check the map or do his research on the trail... but let's back up...
Apparently a week or two back Morgan complained about needing her bike seat raised. Well... Daddy did raise it but didn't raise the handlebars to match. (No one knew this while we were still at home.) We got to the trail and Morgan sat down and literally flipped out - raising her voice, refusing to ride her bike, basically acting like a teenage brat. Love my daughter... but she was not thinking logically! Long story short... after a lot of grumbling back and bickering, I rode her bike and she rode mine.
We started off on the path... perfectly easy... paved! THEN... grass with a bike dirt indent in the ground... still ok... then we hit a creek we had to ride through... well it had rocks too... I hit a rock on Morgan's bike and the seat slanted back. Ugh... so now I'm leaning over and down to the handlebars and my buttock is sliding of the back. You can image how I felt the rest of the ride. I tried hard to just zip my lip and not say much! I do have to comment... I walked my bike more than RJ or Morgan did!
We all survived and then the kiddos and Daddy got Rita's water ice on the way home! Fun times shared with family... even if it was a challenging ride and it included some bickering...
