Memorial Day Weekend
We had a nice weekend. Remembering all those who have served our country. Sometimes it is hard to remember that Memorial Day is sacred and not just "the unofficial start of summer" as we hear all over the news.
Bob worked Saturday and Sunday all day- 7Am-7Pm. As mentioned earlier, I went yard sailing on Sat morning, got the lawn in order and organized the house a little bit.
RJ and Morgan with Grandmom
Bethanne with her girls Angela and Hannah
...and Morgan hopped up too!
Sunday the kids and I went to church then headed to MeMom and PopPop's house for a Memorial Day/Aunt Megan's birthday party. We had a great time with a close gathering of friends and family. I blew up the moon bounce in the back yard and Morgan, Hannah and Angela had a blast! The food was amazing (as always) with MeMom making all the salads (potato, macaroni, broccoli, etc).
Daddy showed up after his shift was finished and got some grub (plenty of leftovers) and socialized for a little bit before people got ready to leave. It was a great weekend!
Aunt Megan's birthday!
Today we went to Aunt Jo and Uncle Sean's to see their new house with all the furniture in it. Their new house looks nice put together with all their familiar furniture. Claire and Morgan played, Zandi walked around holding onto her Daddy's fingers and RJ hung out with who ever would hold him! It was nice to see them for a little bit. We had lunch and left when it was Claire's nap time so we could get Morgan home for her nap!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend as we did!

Yard Sales!
Morgan brushing a goat at the zoo!
Still wearing her Easter necklace... weeks later!
I love yard sailing! Even if I don't buy anything I still like going and looking... and even if I really don't need anything I always come away with something... usually books!! I haven't gotten to go this season yet due to family obligations and Bob's schedule... however... this morning my wonderful sister came over to wait for the kiddos to get up and then watch them until I got home! I'm sure Morgan and RJ were really happy to see her!! Aunt Megan is lots of fun!!
I ended up buying a few things today that I did not absolutely need... but would be nice to have! I bought Morgan a heavy duty plastic (Fisher Price or Little Tykes) basketball hoop. She loves it already!!
Today the humidity was a killer... but by supper time we had a wonderful breeze blowing through the house, and now as I write this I am watching a lightening storm approaching... yea for our grass!! Speaking of grass... I got all the hoses and sprinklers hooked up, connected and working! Praying to see some green popping up in the next week or two! I am so SICK of mud and dust!!!

Zoo Fun!
The giraffe is in the background of both Morgan and RJ's pictures
Turtles are in the background...cute picture of Daddy and Morgan!
We had so much fun at the zoo today! Morgan kept saying on the way down, "Momma like snakes, Daddy like elephants, RJ like lions, and Morgan like giraffes." It was pretty crowded... we forgot there would be field trips... end of the year zoo field trips! It wasn't soo crowded that we couldn't walk around and see everything we wanted to see! Morgan and RJ had a great time! We lathered them up with lotion and strapped them into the stroller and off we went! RJ did great! So much to look at! Not a lot to say... pictures say it all! The animals all seemed to be awake and moving around!! Enjoy the pictures!
We actually saw how the giraffe gets his legs apart to drink... it is a long process!
Poor giraffe!!
Couldn't believe we saw this 'action' going on...
We also heard the accompanying sound!
Crazy!
Beautiful... showing off his feathers!
Smile RJ! Smile Morgan!

Slacker
I have been such a slacker the last couple weeks. I promise as of now I will get back on the bandwagon of blogging!! I don't know what has happened the last couple weeks except that after all the rain we had we have been outside as much as possible enjoying the beautiful weather!!
I will give some updates on the kiddos in the next couple days.
Today Aunt Melanie came over and watched the kiddos while Daddy and I went to Jeffrey's first mass. (AGAIN, forgot to get a picture of Aunt Melanie and the kids...I have a problem with remembering!) Aunt Melanie said the kids were great, Morgan slept for almost 4 hours at nap time! What some fresh air-playing outside will do for a nap!!
Jeffrey's mass was very nice. He did a great job for his first time EVER and in front of everyone he knows (and that are totally focused only on him!). Many of his fellow priests were there and my parents got to chat with Monseigneur Shields who will be marrying Aunt Megan and Uncle Andy. That was nice for them to catch up with him a little bit!
I will continue my prayers for Jeffrey in his new role and hope he prays for my family too...after all he has a higher bond than I! **smiles** (He would disagree)

What a blessed day!
Today I witnessed something I may never have the opportunity to see again. One of my close friends from college was ordained a Catholic Priest!
I met him my sophomore year at Bloomsburg. Our last names were very close alphabetically so I think that is how we originally met (Rounay-Rott) and then we were resident advisers together. I had mentioned to him jokingly one day that I think he would make a great priest! We got along very well so it wasn't strange for us to voice our true opinions! He kind of laughed at me and said, "Yea, me a priest" but we both kept that conversation in the back of our minds! Jeffrey finished his degree in Accounting and got his certification to become a CPA. He worked for a firm for a couple of years and then had a calling to his religion and religious orders. He went back to school...St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. After 6 years and lots of forward advancements...and me coming to support him whenever he had a special 'moment' (i.e. when he became a Deacon) he has completed his journey and can now be called Father Rott or Father Jeff by the entire world... Sorry Jeffrey, I think I will still be on first name terms with you! :) His journey completed at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. Cardinal Rigali was the principal Celebrant.
I am so proud of him! He still introduces me to people with the comment, "Yea, she is the first one who told me this was my calling" and chuckles! Again, I am just so happy for him that he is truly doing what his heart has called him to and I think he will be great at it! (As long as he doesn't become long-winded during his homilies!)
Love you Jeff! and BIG congratulations!!!
See you tomorrow at your first mass! So excited!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!!
Today at church the priest's whole sermon was on how life is too short to let the little things get you down! I really took it to heart and am hoping to use that advice... when Morgan spills her juice (3/4 water, 1/4 juice) all over the floor, or RJ spits up on my brand new shirt or when all Morgan's bottles are dirty and she is crying she wants a bottle or when RJ wakes me up in the middle of the night... life is too short to get angry or frustrated over the little things... enjoy every day because babies grow up fast!
